One of my favorite albums to listen to is Wiped Out! by The Neighbourhood, but I always thought their album art had a lot of room for improvement. In my redesign I wanted to express the melancholic and ambient white noise mood of the songs while still relating to the main subject - California. I decided that seagulls would be the main subject of the story to convey California as a theme, and an overall muted, desaturated color palette be used with a burnt orange to create a melancholic mood, and an overall modern design.
